How to apply
To register for our Model United Nations, you can do so quickly directly on our website. On each project page, you will find information about the simulation and how to register.
For MUN WASHINGTON D.C. and MUN NEW YORK, the registration includes the hotel, with quadruple rooms. It is possible to request an upgrade to double rooms, but it is not guaranteed. It is also possible to request the exclusion of the flight from the package if you cannot depart from one of the airports listed in the packages. Request this explicitly via email to the organization.
For MUN NEW YORK High Schools, it is mandatory to travel with the group unless minor students are accompanied to New York by a parent/guardian.
The MUN MALTA staff will accompany the students throughout their stay in New York. Students can choose among the available Weeks for MUN NEW YORK, specifying it in the registration form.
The packages for the online and live training courses can be purchased before departure. Live classes will usually be held on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday from 14:30 to 19:30. These are not mandatory if students are unable to reach the locations where the classes will be held.
The e-learning course includes videos in English with subtitles, accessible from PC and smartphone. The lessons focus on MUN-related topics such as: International Relations, Geopolitics, United Nations, International Law, Position Papers, and Soft skills (public speaking, negotiation, team building/working, etc.).
During the stay in New York, high school students will always be accompanied by tutors and teachers from the organization.
For university students, there will be optional, non-mandatory tourist activities.
All projects in the United States include insurance. You can independently take out additional insurance policies as you wish.
The material for the simulation will be provided by the organization and is included in the registration.
The departure airports are the Capital.
The age range for high school students is between 13 and 19 years, while university students are those enrolled in degree courses or graduates for no more than 5 years.

Frequently asked questions
Ready to become a MUNer, here are some frequently asked questions and answers.
Fill out the form on the website and apply for membership by following the required steps. You will receive documentation, and once completed and signed, you will officially be a MUNer
Through this option you will be able to secure a place at MUN even before registration officially opens. Please remember that places at the national level are limited, and once the maximum number is reached, registration may close early. The payment related to this option will be automatically deducted from the total fee
The training course is conducted in a blended mode i.e., some modules-the more theoretical ones-will be conducted by academic staff online (live unrecorded lectures) providing for interactive activities. The modules related to soft skills and, therefore, more practical, will be conducted live at innovative facilities such as Innovation Hubs, Coworking and Business Centers in order to put the various techniques into practice.
here are two MUN events: one created only for high school students and one only for college students. MUN-ITALIA, in order to ensure effective teaching, anticipates and requires that high school and college participants never attend the same conference either in Italy or abroad.
The differences between the two projects are: a) one training course dedicated to high school students and one for university students. Same modules but different approaches to ensure the most appropriate learning objectives for each participant; b) different dates for the projects abroad; c) high school students accompanied by faculty both during conferences and during their free time abroad. High school students are never left alone. In contrast, university students will be accompanied by teaching staff during conferences but will be independent during non-conference times.
Payment can be made in three ways: Payment 5 standard installments: one at the signing of the contract and the other 4, of equal amount, equally distributed in the months preceding the beginning of the conference. Payment by financing from Soisy partners with the possibility of dividing the internal amount up to 16 monthly installments. See rules and instructions at the link Soisy financing video guide. Single installment upon signing the contract.
- es, at the end of the training and simulation, both a certificate of participation and a certificate regarding the objectives achieved and the hours completed during the entire project will be issued.
There are no special requirements since the entire project is structured to ensure tangible improvement through full immersion training. Possible English language certifications are, however, an advantage in terms of selection in case of limited places.
Yes, places are limited nationwide.

General information
Once the country and committee assignments have been received, each delegate representing a UN member country will be required to write a Position Paper. This is a political statement that reflects the country’s views on the committee’s topic. The Position Paper should outline the relevant international and regional resolutions, conventions, and treaties that support your country’s position. It is essential to identify the key issues, explain your country’s policy, and propose solid recommendations to be implemented. Observer members and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are not required to write a Position Paper. For more details on how to write an effective Position Paper, see the MUN-EUROPE Position Paper Guidelines.
Format and guidelines
- The length of the document must not exceed one page.
- Standard margins, with Arial 10pt font and justified text.
- The inclusion of the flag or national coat of arms in the header is accepted.
- The represented country, the committee, and the topic must be clearly indicated before the text.
- Do not include citations or bibliography: the Position Paper is a political statement and must be written as if it were a real diplomatic representative writing it; it is not an academic paper.
- The document must be submitted in a pdf format.
- Each delegate may submit only one Position Paper related to their assignment.
- Each delegate will represent the country in the committee individually.
- A faculty advisor or Head delegate can upload all the Position papers of their delegation to the platform.
Please note that Position Papers must consist entirely of original writing. Based on their research, delegates must develop their own ideas and recommendations and present them in their own words. MUN-EUROPE does not tolerate plagiarism, including the reproduction of the content of the Background guides.
Deadline for submitting Position Papers: 15 February 2025 at 23:59

Visa Information
Participation in the MUN does not require a study visa but a tourist visa. If you are a citizen of a European Union country, you have freedom of movement within the borders of the EU with an identity document or passport. If you are a non-EU citizen: visit this government website for information on the visa you need https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/entry-exit/non-eu-nationals/index_it.htm Once you have registered for the conference, we can provide you with a document confirming you have signed up for the project. How to ask for the letter:
- Sign yourself or your group up for the conference, and confirm registration by paying the participation fee.
- Once we have received the payment, we are entitled to ask for proof of your studies to confirm your eligibility to participate. The teacher or delegation leader must provide us with a list of students participating in the project.

Deadline for submitting Position Papers: 10 October 2025 at 23:59
